How we make money.
Points Brief is an independent credit-card publication. We are developing affiliate partnerships and will clearly label any compensated links when they become available.
Our business model
Points Brief earns revenue through affiliate partnerships. When you click certain links to credit card issuer websites and are approved for a card, we may earn a commission from the issuer or its affiliate-network partner. This commission comes at no additional cost to you.
As of August 2026, we are in the process of establishing these partnerships. Some outbound links on this site are direct issuer links that do not earn us a commission. Any link that does earn compensation will be clearly labeled.
How compensation affects what you see
Compensation may impact how and where credit card products appear on this site, including the order of cards in tables or lists. However, our editorial scores—Coupon Book and Keeper—and our offer-history analysis are based on our independent assessment of each card's features, not on whether a particular card earns us a commission.
We do not review or include every credit card available in the marketplace, and we do not guarantee that any card application will be approved. Credit card offers change frequently; always verify current terms on the issuer's website before applying.
Editorial integrity
Our card guides, scoring system, and editorials reflect our own analysis and opinions. We separate verified facts from historical context and editorial judgment throughout each guide. Compensation relationships do not change the facts we report—offer amounts, annual fees, earning rates, and benefit terms come from issuer product pages and approved network offer feeds.
Advertiser relationships and compensation never influence our ratings, reviews, or which cards we choose to cover. Our editorial team does not consult marketing partners when selecting or rating cards. The difference between editorial content and advertising is clearly stated: every card guide is editorial, and any paid placement (if it ever occurs) will be explicitly labeled as such.
FTC disclosure
In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on the use of endorsements and testimonials in advertising (16 CFR Part 255), Points Brief discloses that it has affiliate relationships with certain credit card issuers and affiliate networks. When a link on this site is an affiliate link, we earn a commission if you apply through that link and are approved for the card. This disclosure appears:
- On this page, which is linked from the site footer.
- On individual card guide pages that contain affiliate links, adjacent to the link itself.
- On the homepage, in the site disclosure section.
When you click an outbound "View official offer" or "Apply Now" button on a card guide, you will be redirected to the credit card issuer's website. You can review the card's full rates, fees, terms, and conditions on that page before deciding whether to submit an application. Reasonable efforts are made to maintain accurate information on Points Brief, but all credit card information is presented without warranty and offers are subject to change without notice.
Offer accuracy
All welcome offers, annual fees, earning rates, and benefit descriptions on Points Brief are drawn from issuer product pages and affiliate-network offer feeds at the time of publication. We date-stamp each card's last-verified date. We re-verify card offers at least monthly to keep our information current. Because issuers change offers without notice, we recommend confirming current terms directly with the issuer before applying. No offer on this site is a guarantee of approval.
Historical offer data—including tracked maximum offers, past elevated offers, and offer history ladders—is compiled on a best-effort basis from public information such as issuer archived pages and independent deal-tracking sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or currency of any historical offer in any shape or form. Historical offers may have been targeted, channel-specific, or subject to eligibility restrictions that are not fully captured in our records. Treat all historical offer data as approximate and corroborate with primary sources before relying on it.

Who we are
Points Brief acts as a marketing lead generator for credit card issuers and affiliate networks. We are not a bank, lender, credit card issuer, or agent of any issuer. We do not process applications, make credit decisions, or extend credit. When you click an outbound link on this site, you leave Points Brief and are directed to the credit card issuer's website, where you can review the card's terms and conditions and submit an application directly to the issuer. Approval is not guaranteed and depends on the issuer's credit criteria. Credit is extended by the issuing bank subject to its credit criteria. The issuer must not discriminate on a prohibited basis under the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.
